A new senior elective course for both Computer Engineering Technology and Electrical Power Engineering Technology Programs, ELET4397 Introduction to Cyber Physical System, is being offered in Spring 2012. The course is sponsored by a UH Quanlity Enhancement Project grant, to test the learning modules we developed in the NSF CCLI project on “Infusing Advanced Sensor Network Research in Cross-disciplinary Undergraduate Education” at networking and communication levels.

The project team meet on Feb. 25 to discuss plan for dissemination, outreach, and assessment in College of Engineering. Drs. Yuan, Malki, Ramos from University of Houston, Mr. Meeks and Ms. Betts from San Jacinto College South, Dr. Yuan from University of North Texas, and students working on the project (Mr. Han and Khaleeq).

San Jacinto College South successfully procured 20 licenses for Multisim and 6 licenses for LabVIEW.

Dr. Yuan presented a poster on “Infusing Advanced Sensor Network Research in Cross-disciplinary Undergraduate Education” in NSF-TUES 2011 conference held in Washington, D.C.
